How to Survive the Covid-19 Pandemic?

Updated: Aug 5, 2020

Over 3.8 million people have tested positive worldwide. Covid-19 is a highly infectious disease that has hit the world too hard and too fast. The young and healthy may recover but the older people or those with underlying medical / health problems are likely to develop serious illness that may lead to death.

We must all play our parts to flatten the curve as there is yet to be any specific vaccine or treatment for the disease.

Here are the Top 5 Practices to protect yourself and others to survive the covid-19 pandemic.

1. Stay Home and Avoid Crowds

Avoid crowded places and mass gatherings at all costs where the chances of being exposed to the virus is the highest. If you have to leave home, make sure to practice social distancing and wear a mask.

2. Clean Your Hands

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water especially after you have been in a public place. Carry and use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser whenever soap and water is not readily available. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth before washing your hands.

3. Clean and Disinfect

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, lift buttons, handles, doorknobs, staircase railings, countertops, desks, phones, keyboard, toilet, faucets, sinks and so on.

4. Live Healthily

Eat healthier, exercise and make sure you get enough sleep! Take vitamins and supplements to boost and strengthen your immune system. After all, it's a great thing to be taking care of your own health.

5. Be Kind

Lastly, reach out and help those in need. Many people are badly affected in many ways by this pandemic. Simple acts like helping your old neighbour with groceries or donating food to the charity goes a long way.
